In my system I have all of the stats a Character has increasing on an equal scale. A character with 100 Strength would deal 100+d% damage, or 100-200. So a character with 10 Strength would deal 10+d% (which could be solved by 1d20x5 or various other means) damage, which gives a random number of about 10-20 and an average of 15. First, I was thinking of solving the "insignificant die roll" situation I've explained previously by using percentages for everything. I am also having trouble implementing the dramatic power increases the characters in the show experience throughout the Sages while still keeping the numbers manageable.įor example, I have two general ideas. I know this can be done, though, and I am determined to see a functioning and fun Dragon Ball Z RPG be created! Currently, I do have a bare bones set of rules that function, but I am having difficulty adding in the extra layers to spice the game up. I'd like to add classes and such, among other things, while keeping the game balanced. I suppose I am looking for advice and feedback for anyone who knows a bit about Dragon Ball Z and RPG creation. I scarcely doubt it could even be called the Fuzion system any more. I have been working on creating my own Dragon Ball Z RPG based on this book with HEAVILY modified rules. I have attempted to correct these issues in the rules I am working on by implementing die roll modifiers, which are basically multipliers for your die rolls that increase as your Level increases, in order to keep a healthy amount of randomness to the roll. The real problem with this set of rules was the power increases did not scale well (1000 + 3d6, for example). It utilized the Fuzion system, which is not a terrible system in itself, but it's implementation into the world of Dragon Ball Z was not done very well. Talsorian and it was, in general, a very poorly designed system. So! Back in about 2000 or so a Dragon Ball Z RPG was published by R. However, I have been a long-time fan of the series, as well as the video games, and the idea of it really appeals to me. Therefore, we've updated the piece to add a few more gems.Yes, this is my first post, and yes, I know Dragon Ball Z is not typically considered an RPG topic for the hardcore.
